Dr. R. G. Dunbar has recently celebrated his 64th year of full time ministry to the Lord. He takes great delight in this journey, beginning with a miracle from God, which saved his life. From his graduation from Bible College, to the present, Pastor Dunbar continues as an avid student of the Scriptures.

Early in his ministry, he and Vernice married and began their family and ministry together. For 15 years, the Dunbar's traveled on the evangelistic field. They ministered in churches all across America, as well as in foreign lands.

R.G. and Vernice settled in Colorado Springs in 1959. They are long time members of the National Christian Motorcycle Association. R.G. has been an active sportsman, horseman, marksman, and writer. Pastor Dunbar has served as Vice President on the board of "The Fellowship" Southwest Region, which covers 335 Churches and Ministries for the 7 western states.

The journey continues to this day. Now having celebrated 60 years of marriage, the Dunbar's are the proud parents of 5 saved, Holy Ghost filled children, as well as 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. They are all active in ministry of various types.

Pastor Robert Dunbar, grew up in the church. He was 3 years old when his folks came to Colorado Springs. He spent 4 years in Bible College and then went to San Diego to plant a church.  In 1989 they moved back to Colorado Springs to help in Lighthouse.

"It is my pleasure to teach and preach about the relationship we can have with the Lord. When it comes to God, we cannot fully explain Him, but we can increasingly experience Him.  Pastor Robert loves to teach and preach the Word of God because he knows that is where the blessing is.  The preaching of God's Word will set the captives free.   

Pastor Robert and Carol were married in 1981. Carol works with him in the ministries of Lighthouse Temple in all ways that are needed. She works with the "Ablaze" Youth Choir and every group of children in the church.  She is a wonderful helper, and a blessing to Lighthouse Temple.
